Hospice is about life.
Caris provides a package of services intended to add life to days... when days may not be added to life. The Caris team provides medical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to patients and families coping with life-limiting illnesses. Caris acts as an extension of the primary caregiver. We do this by making regularly scheduled visits to provide care and comfort, and by being available around the clock to answer questions and attend to emergencies. Each person's needs are different, so Caris develops individualized plans for each of our patients.
Hospice service is a benefit that many individuals have earned through their Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance. There is normally no cost to the family for this compassionate package of services.
Caris strives to help patients and families understand what to expect across the disease process. Through education, hands on care, and being a shoulder to cry on, Caris wants to make every day count. End of life is inevitable, but how one spends the precious time left is a personal choice. Caris can relieve some of the burdens, allowing the patient and their family to spend their time together comfortably and better prepared for what is to come.
